Donation Refund Policy

Our approach

Donations support curriculum, equipment and event costs for the Institute's programs. Because a donation is a gift, it is generally final. We also know mistakes happen, and we will always work with you to put one right.

When we refund a donation

• A duplicate charge, or an amount entered in error: refunded in full if you write to us within 30 days of the donation.
• A charge you did not authorize: write to us right away and we will refund it and help you secure your card.
• Other requests: considered case by case; please explain the circumstances.

How to ask

Write to us through our contact form with the email address you used, the date and the amount. Approved refunds go back to the original card through Stripe and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days. A refunded donation is no longer a gift, so any acknowledgment issued for it no longer applies.

Please contact us before opening a card dispute; we resolve most issues faster directly.
